When searching for the perfect spring hairstyle there are several things you will need to consider. How will you keep your hair looking hot in windy weather? Will you be visiting the beach or some fun locale over spring break? You will need to choose styles that are quick and easy to do, but will last throughout warm and windy weather. Here are some of the trendiest hairstyles for spring 2013:

Messy buns or twists wrapped in a colorful scarf are ideal styles for spring. You can even coordinate your scarf with your outfit. All you have to do is wash your hair, rub a texturizing product throughout your strands, and let your hair air dry overnight. In the morning, twist sections of your hair up onto the top of your head and pin them into a loose, messy style. Place a medium-width, bright scarf on your forehead and tie it securely in the back. This will keep the hair out of your eyes all day and leave your hair looking fabulous with little to no fuss.

Get “knotty” with a super trendy knotted hairstyle to the side or in the back. You can wear this style with a sleek or tousled texture and it works perfectly at both casual and super sophisticated events. You can tuck in the ends to create a style that looks more like a knotted bun or you can let some strands loose for a more undone look. Separate your hair into two sections and continue to “knot” the two sections until you are happy with the style. You can use product or hair pins as needed to keep the knot in place.

Braids are still going strong and girls are wearing them in every shape and style. Tiny braids going back across the hair are easy and super fashionable, messy French braids will keep your hair manageable all day, and braided updos will keep you looking and feeling cool while you are out and about. You can even mix in the knot trend while braiding your hair and don a knotted braid. Always remember to use a bit of pomade to ward off frizz and spritz your hair with hairspray to keep your braid in place. Use elastics, bobby pins, floral accessories, or girly bows to secure the braid to your head.
